Update 1.0.100: Fast Forward, Pause, and More
Source: Steam Community
A new update has arrived, adding two highly requested time controls: Pause and Fast Forward. These join the existing Time Rewind, and all three work in both singleplayer and multiplayer. Fast Forward runs the entire simulation at 3x speed without skipping or simplifying anything, so keep in mind it may use more CPU and lower your FPS.
There are also some handy quality-of-life changes. Right-clicking an item in your inventory now places it directly in your hand, skipping the hotbar step. The middle line of the Gyro-Line is highlighted to make aiming easier, and the star rating display now uses three individual stars instead of full/half stars.
Performance and simulation received a solid boost, with roughly 10% better overall frame rates, especially noticeable on large spaceships. Determinism and depenetration were improved, so packages like Tree Lids or Hazard Barrels should no longer glitch out of ships. Several balance tweaks were made as well, including slightly weaker solar storms, reduced gravity in the Black Hole Tunnel, and a simplified Solar Shield absorption system.
- Added Pause and Fast Forward to Time Controls (default: P).
- Right-click inventory items to equip them directly.
- Improved performance by ~10% on large ships.
- Fixed many issues, including package disappearance after Time Rewind and thruster heat offset.
